We are looking for a high-energy, result-oriented Sales Manager to drive our brand’s growth in the competitive FMCG landscape. You will be responsible for expanding our market presence, managing a robust distribution network, and leading a high-performing field sales team to hit ambitious revenue targets.
Target Achievement: Define and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans to achieve primary and secondary sales targets.
Market Expansion: Identify untapped territories and potential retail outlets to increase numerical and weighted distribution.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and new product launches to stay ahead of the curve.
Network Management: Oversee the relationship with distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade partners to ensure optimal stock levels.
Stock Fill-Rates: Ensure zero stock-outs at the retail level by streamlining the supply chain from warehouse to shelf.
Trade Marketing: Implement in-store promotions, merchandising standards, and POSM (Point of Sale Materials) to enhance brand visibility.
Field Supervision: Manage and mentor a team of Sales Officers and Frontline Sales Force (SRs), conducting regular joint field calls.
Performance Tracking: Set clear KPIs and conduct periodic reviews to ensure the team is motivated and meeting productivity standards.
Training: Train the sales force on "Step-of-a-Call" and effective negotiation techniques.
FMCG Expertise: Deep understanding of the General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) environments.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data (secondary sales reports) and extract actionable insights.
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate with distributors and key retail accounts.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using SFA (Sales Force Automation) apps and CRM tools.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Education: MBA in Sales & Marketing or a related field is highly preferred.
Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (often up to 70% field time).
